Peachtree Creek Clean Up
Join Livable Buckhead & our partners for the Peachtree Creek Clean-Up the morning of Nov. 4th, 2017. South Fork Conservancy is providing tools and guidance to remove litter and debris, as well as some maintenance and light infrastructure improvements to the trail.
WATER, SNACKS, WHAT TO WEAR: In an effort to reduce our impact on the environment, we will be providing drinking water via a water cooler, so please bring a refillable water bottle to help yourself. Light snacks will be available as well, but it is advised that volunteers eat breakfast beforehand to be charged up and ready for the day! We recommend that volunteers wear shoes/boots that are comfortable and can get dirty, long pants, and bring/wear a long sleeved shirt to protect their skin from mosquitoes and the brush. Additionally, it is recommended volunteers bring/wear sunscreen and bug repellent.
PARKING/SHUTTLE SERVICE: With limited parking at the trailhead, a shuttle service will be provided. Between 9:30AM and 10AM, a shuttle will transport volunteers from AMLI Piedmont Heights to Cedar Chase Trailhead where they will be given guidance, tools & a T-Shirt! The clean-up project will be from 10AM-12PM. Shuttle service back to AMLI Piedmont Heights will run between 12PM and 1PM.
MARTA: Volunteers are encouraged to ride MARTA to the Lindbergh MARTA station and then walk south on Piedmont Road to Garson Drive/Adina Drive to AMLI Piedmont Heights located at 2323 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. The shuttle will pick up volunteers on Adina Drive in front of AMLI Piedmont Heights.
Drive & Park: Free Parking for volunteers is being provided by AMLI Piedmont Heights between 9:30AM and 1PM. Volunteers are asked to park only on the top of the parking deck. AMLI Piedmont Heights is located at 2323 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. A LBI representative will guide volunteers to the shuttle on Adina Drive in front of AMLI. Volunteers MUST remove cars from the AMLI Parking deck by 1PM.
VOLUNTEER SIGN-IN: Prior to boarding the shuttle, volunteers will be required to sign in with contact information. By completing this form, volunteers will be agreeing to the Liability Waiver & Photo Release agreement included. Parents for volunteers under the age of 18 will be required to sign this form as well.
TAILS, TRAILS & ALES: Volunteers are invited to join us afterward at the 2nd Annual Tails Trails & Ales that is taking place between 1:00pm – 5:00pm on Mile 0 of PATH400 across the street from AMLI Piedmont Heights.
