Truly Living Well (TLW) works to engage the community in developing local food systems and demonstrating urban agriculture as a sustainable solution for helping people to eat and live better. It is our mission to grow better communities by connecting people with the land through education and training. Check out our website: www.trulylivingwell.com for updates on other projects.  Market prep volunteers will be working together to complete market preparation tasks in order to create a beautiful experience for market attendees.

Tasks may include:

  • Harvest, weigh, and bundle produce for farmer's markets.
  • Gathering and loading supplies
  • Assist with signage (good penmanship/artistry for chalk signs)
  • Assist with other farm projects as needed

Wednesdays- Our East Point Site, 3353 Washington Rd. East Point Ga 30364
Fridays- Our Collegetown Site, 324 Lawton St. Atlanta Ga 30310 

Expectations during service:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to serve by themselves. Volunteers as young as 16 can volunteer with a parent. Court ordered volunteers are permitted to serve (Please note: Individuals who have been convicted of or charged with any crime involving or relating to child abuse or neglect, child pornography, child abduction, or any other violent offense, including kidnapping, rape or any sexual offense, or who have ever been ordered by a court to receive psychiatric or psychological treatment in connection with such crime or crimes are NOT permitted to register on this site.). This project site is not wheelchair accessible. Please bring a reusable water bottle, wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, clothes that can get dirty and/or possibly muddy, hat/head covering to protect from constant exposure to sun and sunscreen.

Our market staff and farmers are committed to providing a safe workspace and an attitude of productivity is important for projects/tasks to be completed successfully with mutual enjoyment.

We promote environmental sustainability and recycling efforts by all in attendance.  We are a no-smoking farm and facility.  If you choose to smoke, we request you do so offsite.

Inclement Weather Advisory: 
Our staff is prepared to work during light rains and volunteers should wear rain jackets.  In the event of thunderstorm forecasts (50% or higher), this volunteer opportunity will be immediately canceled for the protection and safety of all.

****Special Notice: For volunteers requiring a court-ordered letter of confirmation for hours worked, please allow 2 business days after the day of completed hours to receive documentation.
