Caring for Clarkston Food Pantry

he Clarkston Community Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of creating a place for Clarkston residents to come together for art, education, recreation and community building.
The purpose of the Food Pantry is to provide assistance to individuals and families who are struggling to bring in enough income to provide the basic living needs for themselves and their families.

Volunteers are needed to assist with mantaing the inventory of the food pantry, communicating pantry stock levels to ensure proper ordering/purchasing for pantry, help assemble food boxes for clients, assist with tracking client visits, performing interviews with clients to determine food security status, and family size.

Volunteers also are needed to determine food preferences and document the amount of food each client receives. 

This project is located in Clarkston.  Clarkston is 4 miles NE of Decatur; in-between Stone Mountain and Decatur.

The minimum age to volunteer with adult supervision is 16.  Court-ordered volunteers are permitted to serve at this site.  

This Food Pantry is an affiliate of the Atlanta Community Food Bank
