HandsOn Atlanta

Thank you for your interest! We are in need of volunteers to sort, bag, and stock food items on shelving. We also need volunteers to load food boxes directly into clients cars with no person to person contact. CDC Covid 19 guidelines are followed in this facility. There are also opportunities to do clerical work and data entry. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, the front door of the facility is always locked. Please call 404-524-2704 if no one answers at the front door. Someone will come to let you in. NOTE: Please sign in on the kiosk before volunteering or you will not get credit for the time that you served. 

*** For everyones safety, we are asking that all persons be tested for Covid-19 before volunteering. You must have a negative Covid test within the last 14 days.  If you have been fully vaccinated, you DO NOT have to have a Covid test. 

We ask that all volunteers wear mask and practice social distancing while volunteering. Temparature checks are required upon entering are required. Food boxes are loading directly into clients' vehicles with no need for any physical contact. Please bring indentification.

This Food Pantry is an affiliate of the Atlanta Community Food Bank and is posting volunteer opportunities as part of a collaborative partnership between Hands On Atlanta and The Atlanta Community Food Bank. Through this partnership, Hands On Atlanta is providing training and support to select affiliate food pantries to increase their capacity to recruit, manage and retain volunteers, with the ultimate goal of strengthening services provided to families and individuals at risk of hunger.
