Women's Community Kitchen- Onsite Meal Preparation

Sign up to help prepare to go meals at the Women's Community Kitchen!

Volunteers will help prepare and/or assemble to go meals for 25-30 women and children on site as well as 100 meals for mobile distribution to food insecure seniors in the community.

By meeting basic needs of hunger relief, housing and education, Action Ministries removes barriers that prevent thousands of Georgians from breaking the cycle of poverty and realizing their potential.

In response to COVID- 19:

We are now requiring that all volunteers wear cloth masks or secure bandanas. Please bring your personal mask on the day of your service! 

*We ask for you to cancel and/or reschedule your service day if you or anyone in your group are experiencing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus or have been in close contact with someone that has recently tested positive for the virus*

If you are unable to fulfill your day of service, please delete yourself from the sign-up at least 24 hours in advance so that others are able to serve with us! Our groups remain minimal during COVID and we need as many hands as possible to help!

Volunteer and Partner Commitment:

  • A mask that covers both the mouth and nose is REQUIRED while on site at any Action Ministries, Inc location
  • Use gloves while handling food at our kitchens and warehouses
  • Use hand sanitizers available throughout our kitchens and warehouses
  • Disinfect the surfaces and tools you use after use with provided wipes/cleaners
  • Wash hands before volunteering and frequently throughout
  • Stay home if you display signs of illness or come into contact with affected individuals
  • Avoid touching their eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover cough (or sneeze) by doing so in the BEND of the ARM
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
