Meal Preparation for Homeless
Who We Are
Partners for HOME brings public and private resources together to create and implement a collective strategic plan to making homelessness in Atlanta rare, brief and nonrecurring. During the COVID-19 crisis, we have stood up two hotels to provide isolation and respite to individuals experiencing homelessness in the City of Atlanta. We are in need of volunteers at our "Non-congretate Hotel". This hotel houses individuals experiencing homelessness who have tested negative for COVID-19 and are either over the age of 65 or have underlying health conditions that increase their vulnerability for complications should they contract the virus.
Who We Need
We are in need of volunteers to work in the kitchen of the Non-congregate hotel to prep individual to-go meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) to be delivered to rooms for clients. This volunteer activity has three shifts lasting 2 hours each: (630a-830a) (12p-2p) (5:30p-7:30p).
Note: COVID-19 Precautions- For the safety of our guests and volunteers, all volunteers are asked to bring and wear a mask while at the hotel. Gloves will be provided.
