Food Box Thursday Mobile Pantry: Volunteers Needed!
We are in need of volunteers for a mobile food pantry we are hosting on THURSDAY, MAY 13th!
- Location: C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Community Teaching Kitchen
- Address: 125 Ellis Street - Atlanta, GA 30303
- Available Shift: 9am - 2pm
- Assignments: Food Box Distributors, Guest Check-In, Event Set-Up/Breakdown, etc
- Dress Code: Jeans, T-Shirt and Comfortable Shoes
NOTE: Hands On Atlanta requires all in-person projects to have COVID-19 safety guidelines (masks, social distancing, handwashing, etc.)
The mission of the Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully, Inc. (C.H.O.I.C.E.S.) is to be a parent and child resource center for the clinically diagnosed and at-risk children of obesity. Over the last 19 years, CHOICES has delivered its message of health to more than 125,000 children and adults through mobile food pantries, healthy cooking classes, workshops, summer camps and health expos.
This Food Pantry is an affiliate of the Atlanta Community Food Bank and is posting volunteer opportunities as part of a collaborative partnership between Hands On Atlanta and The Atlanta Community Food Bank. Through this partnership, Hands On Atlanta is providing training and support to select affiliate food pantries to increase their capacity to recruit, manage and retain volunteers, with the ultimate goal of strengthening services provided to families and individuals at risk of hunger.
