Nehemiah Project Community Development Corporation

Our History and Mission The Nehemiah Project CDC was founded in 2002. Nehemiah Project CDC began with an articulated mission, “To transform our community and impact generations by improving the quality of life through assisting and empowering individuals in the areas of housing, education, employment, and community restoration. In the earlier years, Nehemiah Project CDC assisted low income families and single mothers with meeting basic needs of food, rent and utility assistance. The organization also provided jobs to men in the community such as lawn care, janitorial services, and minor repairs and renovations on rental properties and its affiliate facilities of Harvest Rain Academy which is located in Fairburn, GA. In 2010, The Nehemiah Project CDC began a partnership with Project Extend in Atlanta to meet the demands of senior home repairs in the South Fulton Community. This partnership led to the birth of our Home Repair Program that services low income seniors and the disabled.
